Arm going numb

Hi everyone,

Do you know if nodes can cause numbness in the arm? My right arm is getting numb several times a day. I tought it could be the fact that I am using a mouse on a computer every day of the week at the job.

I do know I have nodes in the neck and under the clavicule (they were only seen at the scan... they dont show outside the body)

If it's the nodes, is there something (surgery?) to do to have my arm and prehension back again?

Thanks

Guillaume

I had that problem - arm going numb - from computer posture and prolonged computer use. had to change my set-up, take more breaks, make keyboard lower so shoulder not up high.... a few things.

Can mention to your oncologist. Could be CLL related but if not, there are probably exercises to help with that. My fingers go numb when holding my cell phone too long. 💕

I had a similar problem causing neck pain before my diagnosis. I swapped to using my left hand for mouse use and the pain resolved. You might have a nerve being pinched by an enlarged node, so get it checked out.

Thank you Neil for your reply. In fact, I have a very low and very stable CLL, however, my most significant symptoms are fatigue... and the pain in the neck! So I'll talk to my doctor about it. I already had my left wrist operated (not due to CLL). But I do think this time the problem is more located in my shoulder.

Your arm is likely numb because the vertebrae in your neck need to be realigned...

Thanks for your reply! Well, having this condition, I think I am promt to blame any symptoms I have on CLL. Recently, I had a radiography of the neck... and Oh Joy! I have osteoarthritis on 3 vertebrea of the neck... so that must be it!

I had a heriated disk in my neck about 10 years ago and it was causing my hand to go numb. It also caused pain in my shoulder and neck. A fusion took care of that. I agree that it could be the osteoarthritis.

The CLL has made my neck and spine ache in addition to the osteoarthritis. That is actually how I got diagnosed, I was having more and more back pain... A good chiropractor can address both problems.
