CLL Ireland tribute to Chris Dwyer

We are sad to share the news that one of the world's foremost #CLL patient advocates Chris Dwyer, of CLL Canada, has left us.

A recent winner of the inaugral CLL Heroes Awards, Chris launched the Facebook group Bad to the Bone – Living with CLL, and many in our community will also have benefitted from his contributions through the online CLL forums including HealthUnlocked.

Chris founded the CLL Canada informational website. He volunteered at a board level for the CLL Patient Advocacy Group in Canada and was instrumental in launching CLL Live, an international, three-day, patient-focused conference. His work has inspired many patients to become advocates themselves.

Heaven has gained a true warrior but our world is the poorer for his passing.

I have been here such a very short time so my knowing Chris is ver short, however, it didn’t take long to learn what a special guy he was...a whole lot of people owe a whole lot to Chris. It will not surprise me one little bit if he didn’t have one huge reunion of all his CLL friends!!!

God Bless his family as we all know the hole he leaves in their hearts!
