Swelling in neck

Hi guys just a quick question. I've had a really bad cold and cough for a week and for the last 2 days my gland is swollen and so tender on left side of neck. Do I need to see gp or will it go down by itself? Thank you...Linda x

Hi WelshLady,

If your swollen gland is due to your cold, which seems probable, it should go down as you recover from your respiratory infection. If you have any concerns, you should see your doctor.
