Anyone having diagnosed High risk CLL overlapping with SLL with Marrow involvement?
It's the same illness - CLL/SLL. This post goes into the treatment triggers: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...
Bone marrow infiltration can exceed 90% before falling platelets or haemoglobin trigger the need for treatment for bone marrow related symptoms.

When I was diagnosed my hematologist said it was CLL/SLL and I kept asking which one was it and doc kept saying they are the same. I believe it was since there was infiltration found in both the lymph node biopsy and the bone marrow biopsy. That was 3 yrs ago and I have had no treatment.
I started with SLL and moved on to CLL. See my posts.
marrow infiltration get get very high before needing treat.
Get a second opinion with a CLL specialist before treatment.
From the latest American society of hematology conference paper showed that targeted therapy is better than traditional chemo therapy such as FCR and BR. With the targeted therapy it has better progression free survival overall survival and less side effects.
Look up the E1912 trial presented by Tait Shanafelt.

Thanks Hoffy.. Can u little elaborate what is targeted therapy in CLL
Targeted therapy are the new type of drugs that hit specific targets on the cancer in the blood to eliminate them.
The main two are Imbruvica and Venetoclax.
I was lucky to get into a clinical trial combining both of the drugs.
This is the advantage of clinical trials in that you get the best possible treatment many times and the drugs are free.
I am 17 P deleted and I was able to clear out my bone marrow after 15 months.
The CLL Society website side has a listing of all or most current CLL drugs in their past newsletters.
Keep learning,

I was diagnosed with CLL/SLL and 17p deletion. At least in my case, they didn't wait for me to have the typical symptoms before telling me I needed treatment in March, 2016 just 4 months after diagnosis. My WBC was only 60K. I waited for a clinical trial and took a dive in those 3 months. From my experience, they won't let you go as long before starting treatment. PS I'm 0% in blood and feeling fine.
