Safe how?... depends on how it is prepared, I would imagine. How are your neutrophils and immunoglobulin levels? Loading the body with bacteria and fungi, is not the best plan perhaps..

Some yeasts have been shown to stimulate B cell receptor pathways, and that is exactly not what you want with CLL, when drugs like Imbruvica (ibrutinib) for example are making every effort to block these signals, with varying degrees of success.

If you want tea beverage that might have a positive effect to slow CLL, try drinking 20 cups Japanese green tea a day, brewed at 160-165 degrees , to release the EGCG... maybe.

I read something recently that CLL patients should not consume sun tea, because of possible bacterial contamination...

I shared my pre CLL experience with brewing Kombucha tea and my concerns about the risks of doing so when you are immune compromised, in answer to your previous post here:

Ive been making and and drinking Kefir (fermented milk, tastes like thin yoghurt)for 6 months, mostly because i like the taste and its great for the gut. My Neuts where just above normal at last test 2 weeks ago and my alc hadn't moved in the last 6 months from 28000. while I'm healthy I think i will just keep on keeping on, doing what isn't causing harm but always aware things can change.

My numbers are all in the normal range and my gut is wonky so I ferment cabbage, cukes or carrots and eat small portions. I think it helps. Since I do this myself and know from experience that it helps my digestion I stick with it. But not when my numbers aren't good and my immunity is zilch.

I started drinking kombucha since 3 weeks and I feel stronger than before. I am a sport guy and my performance are improved in the last 2 weeks, plus I feel less tired during the day. My ACL is around 10-12k.
