A test called a Flow Cytometry will look and see what is happening. I wouldn't worry until you get those results... at the very least.

You are in very early stages of your journey if WBC is 15. Good to have tests to compare to when you were first dx.

What tests?

Only been having blood tests and saw consultant today...so he said just need more bloods done and he will see me in a couple of months. Haven't been dx with anything at the moment.

Has the doctor told you you have CLL?

Waiting a couple of months for a diagnosis is simply not right.

Call the office and ask to have bloodwork done this week and an appointment to see the doctor soon after... then ask for a referral to a hemaetologist, not an oncologist, if the test come back with a CLL diagnosis, which I truly hope they do not! ☹️

There are several different types of white blood cells (lymphocytes and neutrophils being the most common). If you have a raised WBC it can mean an infection or it can mean lots of different things. They look at which cells are raised. Then they look at those cells carefully to figure out what is going on if they don’t think it’s an infection. If you are worried I wouldn’t be ok with waiting two months for a diagnosis from a doctor. But honestly looking on the internet for answers about a raised blood count is not a pleasant place to be in. I know as I was there for a while. So get on to your doctor. Ask to see a haematologist as they specialise in blood. Then see where you are when you have a clearer picture of what’s going on. A 15 doesn’t sound that alarming to me but without knowing much more about your own clinical condition. We can’t say any mot than that and could even be wrong about that.

You may not have CLL....but over 10 means you may have infection. I would not wait. Hematologist oncologist will do more extensive blood work. Can always have another blood test after a week to see if WBC is still 15. Anything over 10, is not normal. Compare it to your last few check ups. If WBC was slowly creeping up, then you may have something brewing.
