I'm not aware that it can. Why do you ask?

It may actually improve your platelet count based on my experience with Zarzio/Filgrastim. As JM954 says, why do you ask?

There is a diversity of opinion whether platelets rise or can decline w neulastin. In light of spontaneous fluctuations in platelet counts it is difficult to pinpoint causation in many cases

It does not happen to everyone, but mine dropped between 5 an 10 points every day when I was on Neupogen but came back as soon as they stopped the treatment. They monitored the drop and stopped before it got too low.

I also have had one Neulasta shot where my platelets dropped there as well, but again, they went right back to normal after a few days.

Thanks. There is a lot we do not understand because of individual differences in disease states when GSF’s are used. You have confirmed my anecdotal research

According to our cancer team, Neulasta just artificially raised my husband's numbers as his bone marrow was not producing on its own.....it worked a couple of months as he was taking BR (chemo) and then after the 4th infusion.......he was thrown into 5 months of neutropenia and severely low platelets.. despite Neulasta....no more chemo for him. He is now on Ibrutinib.
