Anyone else have high blood pressure on left side and low blood pressure on the right side?

I went to the hospital because I was having pain in my lower back (left side) and the nurse took my blood pressure it was 240/90 they immediately took me back to a room, checked my blood pressure on the right side it was 123/76, they started tests and ct scans of my chest, disection pics of my heart, the Dr came in and said we can tell you that you didn't have a heart attack but can't diagnose why your blood pressure is like that, he said it could be 140 different things causing it. Umm ok so what am I supposed to do? He diagnosed me with thrombocytopenia, I'm so confused on my next step, also have hypothyroidism, every time I take my thyroid medication I have heart palpitations, I'm going crazy, any advise would be appreciated, anyone else dealing with this?

Do you have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) ? I ask because this site is a Healthunlocked (HU) support group for those with CLL. When in treatment for CLL, pts. can have heart related issues.

Your thyroid medication issues can also a factor in heart-related issues. And, you may find others to help you on HU's list of support groups which includes both heart and thyroid groups: healthunlocked.com/find

Hi!

As stated this is a blood cancer site...

However I can advise you to see a cardiologist about this.

1st, 240/90 could be physiological BP of stress, ie normal stress response. You need BP taken when cal and not anxious as you would be in that situation.

2nd, see a cardiologist about the BP difference. You could have an arterial anatomical cause.

This is a significant difference and you could have peripheral arterial disease. This needs to be checked again, and if confirmed, investigated ASAP to avoid potential stroke etc
