Membership countries ?

Hi ,

Was just wondering if this forum is predominantly a U.K. Based forum ?

The forum was started by a group in the U.K., but has members from all over the world. Many of us are in the US and Canada. It is helpful when you post if you give at least your country (and province if in Canada) as health systems and available treatments vary depending on where you are.

If you are including personal information you might want to change the default at the bottom of the post from everyone to community only. Posts, and all replies to them, that are unlocked can end up on google or any other form of social media. Some people will only reply to locked posts for reasons of privacy. You will see a little lock next to the title when you click on a post if it is locked.

I have been here about a year. In that time I have seen posts from Japan, Canada, India, UK, USA, and several other countries (Mexico maybe too, not sure). Aside from Patient Power this is the only site I use for Looookemia issues....there is none better anywhere and believe me, I looked.

Scott, have you looked at the group on Facebook called CLL SUPPORT GROUP. The administrator is Jeff Folloder. He is a host on some of the CLL meetings such as the recent Town hall meeting at MDA. He is also a patient of Dr Keating. Great site. STAY STRONG J.R

I don't do Facebook..and got tossed off Twitter for calling KellyAnn Conway bad names. This is pretty much the only place I have a social media presence....which is odd because I learned to code and take computers apart 38 years ago...I used to love Tech...but I fell out of love with it recently....too much loss of privacy.

I use an ASUS Republic of Gamers 8 core i7 and 32GB of RAM...to check email and come here Like using a 150 yacht to drive around a small lake

Renee made me do it...she is really big in "The Resistance" and told me to...so I did. And I am not sorry...I mean I didn't swear or anything...just sort of suggested KellyAnn enjoyed an economically beneficial consensual relationship with Putin.

Normally I would never speak to any woman like that...but everyone knows by now I will pretty much do anything Renee asks me Renee always makes me be the bad guy

I'm in that Facebook group, and have made a few posts, but Facebook is a Time Vampire. I think it exceeds the criteria for addictive behavior recently announced for Online Gaming. I like the pace and people here better.

Plus, I can find things here. Facebook search is abysmal ... because Facebook is an abyss.

Most countries are represented here with the exception of parts of South America, Africa and some Asian nations where CLL is quite rare...

It's not like a real boyfriend....she refers to anyone she talks to on twitter as her Twitter Boyfriend...same way I refer to my Hematologist as my CLL Girlfriend....Renee belongs only to me...but I don't mind her having a few Twitter Boyfriends.

I will tell her. It is so funny how different accents effect people...for me it is girls with British accents. I was only lucky enough to ever date one girl with a British accent when I was very very young (think less than 20) and loved them ever since. For Renee it is Australian.

Hi ,To you all I would just like to say a big thank for all of your responses, it is comforting to know that I can chat / ask questions ( and boy have I got loads of questions going round my head ! 🤔 ) and generally converse with people in same "predicament " as me.

Hi, I live in France at the moment, not very happy with the specialist here (unusual, normally I'd rave about the french health system), plan to move back to the UK in the next year or so - I think you are in Nottingham and I will be moving back to that area eventually - I'd be very grateful for any advice about the specialists / haematology departments there.... Any way, don't panic, good luck to you (have many years of w&w) and welcome.
