I am from India and I was informed by the doctors that my mother, who is 61 years, has a rare disease called Splenic Marginal Zone Lymphoma. The percentage of Lymphocytes in her blood is 85% and I was told that she is in stage IV of blood cancer.
I would like to get the following clarifications:
a. Is this disease a chronic or acute?
b. How should this be treated and what is the success rate?
c. Can I opt for Ayurvedic treatment?
Please help me

Sorry to hear about you mother's diagnosis. My knowledge of SMZL is limited but I pulled up this paper from 2016 which looks good and discusses diagnosis and possible treatments, including splenectomy. SMZL is mostly an indolent disease but approx 5%-10% of patients transform to high grade, aggressive lmphoma. NOTCH1 is implicated in this transformation as it is in CLL.
