Tidings of Joy this happy time

I went for my three monthly check up yesterday and another CT Scan. After bloods and a thorough examination the results were in, 10's across the board or should I say U's. That is twelve months now with everything within the normal range. I await the results of the scan but that has been normal for four years.

So well done Ibrutinib now nearly six years on the drug. My consultant thinks that my not having previous treatment may be the way forward for others, of course my 13q marker may also be part of it. So I have sent the results to my children and wished them happy Christmas with a little note saying " I'm afraid you might have to wait a little longer for your new house and Ferrari!!"

Thanks for posting. 6 years is great, it gives hope to those of us on Ibrutinib.

I am so pleased that you are progressing well, as it is a long time since our paths have crossed at the clinic. I am also doing well and I am still on Venetoclax it will be 4 years in March 2018). I now have 0.03% MRD from peripheral blood taken in May 2017. Things are slowly going in the right direction. All lymph bumps and lumps have been non existent. My next appointment is in the main building as I continue to be seen by the Prof.

I hope your wife is also better and that you both have a restful and pleasant Christmas.

Thanks for your comment, all is well but after my new hip in June fifteen and feeling thirty again I'm afraid the other has gone, I was due to have it done in September but I have had three postponements, the daily pain and lack of mobility is depressing to say the least. My wife's condition is still the same, it is now six and a half years, and I am afraid she is settling for her housebound life but reasonably stable. I am glad you are doing well on Venetoclax, it is a life saver for so many. All we ask is a full term, not necessarily a cure.

Enjoy the season, " All for one and one for all",Onward and upward with a positive mental attitude!
