Lymph #

Yes my husband had a Leydig cell Carcinoma tumor removed from testicular area a year ago, he is have scans done and blood work done every 6 months, his Lymph # has been 1.0-1.1 over the past 4 panels he has had done following tumor removal, it shows up in low side on results, is that ok?

Does your husband have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia CH?

A normal Absolute Lymphocyte Count would be in the range of 1.3-3.5 109/L but it wouldn’t be possible to speculate on here how his particular cancer and surgery would impact on his ALC. Best to take this up with his specialist. Hope he continues to do well.

Thank you, Newdawn! No not that we know of, he is in the monitoring state now, tumor was removed with angiolympatic invasion positive, however all body scans have been clear up to this point just Lymph # numbers mildly lowered over a long period of time. He goes to Oncology tomorrow to review scans and I will mention it, his oncologist never says anything about it, I just seen his labs over a period of time and was wondering if it was normal.

It’s good to hear that your husband’s body scans have been clear and good luck with his oncology appointment tomorrow. Mention the lower lymphocyte level to him if you’re concerned. As you’ll appreciate, members on this forum have errant lymphocyte levels because CLL is essentially a cancer of the B lymphocytes which causes them to proliferate and increase in number not decrease. We are usually diagnosed with an ALC over 5 so there’s no common medical ground with your husband’s situation.
