Hospital or no?

My Hubby is severely Neitrapenic..he has had a fever of 38.1

I am making him see Dr today at hospital...hes fever is down to 37.1

He has had Tylenol since it was38.1 in the morning.

Should I still take him to hospital???

Tylenol can mask fever... make it look lower than it actually is...

With the fact he has neutropenia...yes ER

Better safe than septic...

Absolutely agree...not a shadow of a doubt that he should keep the hospital appointment. Good luck and let us know how he goes Carrie-anne.

Watch the video with your husband when you feel strong enough to watch a deliberately confrontational video, due to the seriousness of the situation your husband could be in if he hadn't agreed to go with you to ER.

I've been neutropenic since my diagnosis nearly 9 years ago and have had a couple of (longer than anticipated by my doctors) boring hospital stays while I waited for IV antibiotics to knock back bacterial infections that my body was incapable of fighting without assistance.
