Start of treatment.

Hi everyone,

I have not been on this post in a long time. My Dr. wanted to start treatment on me two months ago. I told him I was getting a second opinion. What I learned on this sight is if your not seeing a CLL Dr. than you need a second opinion. Thank God I listened. My son took me to Ohio State University and I seen Dr Awan what a great dr. he told my I did not need treatment at this time. My Dr was going to give me Chemo and Dr. Awan said they would not use Chemo on me. I am so happy I do not have to start treatment, yet.

Good for you for getting yourself to OSU for 2nd opinion! Perfect example of why it is so important to get a CLL specialist involved. It can result in some very different treatment decisions and choices. Glad you don't have to start treatment at this time!
