I love a few treats now and then. Does sugar really effect cll/sll. What about green tea. One lump or two?

I love sweets and my sweet tooth has increased since cll. My specialist said aside from the usual negative sugar fx there does not appear to be a link to cll.

I take green tea supplements every day. The brand is called NOW, organic and clean. Hard to tell if they are helpful but i've not had a cold or sore throat since I started taking 1200 mg a day. Pharmacy said no conflict with IB.

Sugar feeding cancer is a myth and EGCG in green tea is a Topoisomerase inhibitor, a mild type of chemotherapy, which effects your DNA.

Recent research indicated that fats of various kinds can feed CLL and sugar can lead to obesity, so perhaps sugar effects CLL , but indirectly.
