I seem to be constantly pestering you all with our various problems, sorry. My husband has developed an enlarged lymph gland about the size of a hen egg. it came up suddenly yesterday. Such a shame as his various neck lymph glands had reduced quite quickly. any thoughts anybody?? hw

I agree with Cammie, get your husband to contact his CLL specialist ASAP. Querying an enlarged lymph gland that comes up suddenly should result in a prompt investigation to determine the cause. Your husband need not be concerned about making a fuss over something not considered important by the medical profession.

Is your husband is on treatment with ibrutinib? I agree with others...

You need to have some diagnostics done.

Talk to the doctor, you need to expedite an appointment...

thankyou all for your prompt reply, yes my husband is on early stages of ibrtutinib he started 17th september, stopped for a short time due to shingles re-started on 2 tbs per day rather than 3 and he has bloods taken at the hospital tomorrow. many thanks to you all for your kind thoughts and messages. hw

I would try and see the doctor... is your husband scheduled to do this after the blood draw tomorrow?

no, and she has a busy clinic following which we have a dermatology clinic at 2pm about 30 miles away in another hospital, however, I feel confident when they see the problem they will recall him asap, we are always available and ready for any apps. thankyou so much for your reply, will keep you in the loop as they say (30 something or others)

thankyou to everybody who replied to my earlier e.mail . Monday bloods were acceptable for Ibrutinib early users........... the hen-egg size lump in the neck caused some alarm,my husband saw the haematologist for an unscheduled appointment.....and a scan and biopsy are planned for Thursday. BUT.......... today the lump is shrinking visibly is now about the size of a quail egg........ is that amazing or what?? still tender and causing a stiff neck but definitely subsiding. more bloods and scan etc., Thursday. AND he is feeling better, even tackling my income-tax return........ that takes some stamina.
