I had to have 2 transfusions after 4 months because the hemoglobin was so low 8.6
Then i went to my cardiologist and he told me to take 500 mg of vitamin c. 325 mg of iron and a product that is called Folbic ( RX only)(contains folic acid and vitamins B3 and B6 ).
It has worked for me for 8 months now as my hemoglobin is 13.8 and climbing .
The cardiologist made a good point ..... he knows nothing about Leukemia and would never treat any of the various symptoms of it , as he does not see it everyday.
He said whenever I have something like low hemo the oncologist only knows to transfuse..and not anything else .
It is wise of you to bounce your problems off of this forum as everyone has different advise ,,,,,some work some do not. fish 61
