Travel
Hi we recently had a holiday but went 1st ( at least 6-8 wks before travel) to see our pratice nurse with our NHS "travel" passport. It shows all sorts of vaccinations and which ones we have had or need.
CLL is a condition that affects your body's immune system, CLL people are people with immune deficiencies of differing types and degree, therefor response will differ according to your own situation and disease..
(Talk to your CLL specialist and GP )
Remember live vaccines are to be avoided by CLL people
This may be helpful:
Chris posted a comprehensive vaccination list a while ago on CLL Canada, an article listing does and don’ts, vaccinations that are OK and vaccinations to avoid, from a few reputable sources:
cllcanada.ca/2010/index.htm...
It includes is a list from the Hamblins published in, Oxford journals table 1 bmb.oxfordjournals.org/cont...
D. Hamblin and T. J. Hamblin* Cancer Sciences Division, University of Southampton, Southampton, UK. 2008 bmb.oxfordjournals.org/cont...
The Centres for Disease Control in the U.S. publishes an extensive document on travelling and this link is specific to immunocompromised patients like CLL.
