This inspiring story about a woman first diagnosed in 2002, with an aggressive form of CLL, shows how CLL can be kept under control. Various treatments were used over the years and now she is on ibrutinib and has a busy life playing golf and travelling to her native Germany.

The story is from the MD Anderson web pages, a hospital with an impressive record of treating CLL.

My consultant worked at MD Anderson on CLL with Michael Keating and Co. I think the MD Anderson ethos rubbed off on her. I'm glad to have her.
