If my gallbladder is removed due to cholesterolitis, does it affect the cholesterol levels regarding my heart?

Have you discussed this question with your Surgeon? I don't have the answer but surely he should. If you have trouble getting another appointment with him before your op. go and see your GP. - he should be able to help you. If you find you have other questions, write them down before you go and see him so that you can get all the answers you want before the "big day". All the very best to you.

It's a long time since I did any anatomy, but doesn't the gall bladder just store bile? Patch is right, your GP is the best person to see if you can't see the surgeon. Good luck with your op.

i have spoken to my GP and he just said it would have to be checked more frequently!

the surgeon said that tests were inconclusive!
