I really wish you all the best. I hope you get a donor heart as soon as possible. This is the reason I believe in the opt out scheme so there would be so many more donors. When you just look at the number of accidents in this country if there was a national registry questions would not have to be asked at such painful times. Very best of luck and let us know how you go on.

And from me too. I don't have the experience or expertise to give you a full answer but just hope everything goes well for you.

Can I ask if your heart problems were caused by high cholesterol levels?

Hi chris,

Hope all goes welll and you get a donor organ soon. I've had heart issues, and when i was going through a particular bad time, I came accross the British Heart Foundation Nurses, who you can contact through their website. I found the info and support they offered far superior and more personal than that given at the hospital i attended. (There was nothing wrong with the hospital care, but they don't have the time to go through it all.)

It may be worth giving the BHF nurses a go.

SWishing you all the best.

Tony
