Needed LDL Cholesterol lowering ideas naturally

Hi everybody. I am getting side effects of taking for 4 years of Statins. My medicine side effects are weakness, fatigue, Low Immunity Power so I would like to give LDL lowering medicine.

I tried Omega 3 Fish oil but it reduced my only Triglycerides to normal level and increased my HDL and my LDL is still high so what I came to the point from my experience that Omega 3 doesn't reduce LDL Cholesterol.

Long term use of Cholesterol lowering medicines can develop Type 2 diabetes.

Any ideas so that I can stop taking statin and go for herbal supplements?

Hello,

Yuo can find information on lowerin cholesterol:

mayoclinic.org/diseases-con...

"Foods like oatmeal, apples, prunes, and beans are high in soluble fiber, which keeps your body from absorbing cholesterol. Research shows that people who ate 5 to 10 more grams of it each day saw a drop in their LDL. Eating more fiber also makes you feel full, so you won't crave snacks as much."

One question, Do you know your total cholesterol, LDL,HDL and triglyceride? Recording these numbers and tracking them every 6 months, a starting point.

Good luck.

Reference values.

Total cholesterol, less than 200 mg/dL (216)

HDL, 60 mg/dL, or higher. (39)

LDL, less than 100 mg/dL (134)

Triglyceride, less than 150 mg /dL (215)

An optimal level of non- HDL cholesterol is less than 130 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL)

All you need to to go to a doctor for guidance, a starting point is risk analysis and discussion for life style change.Looking for height to waist ration, blood glucose number and so on.

AS per below response, may be you need full blood tests, including fasting insulin, inflammation and thyroid tests.

What ever blood tests you require has to come from a doctor.!!!

Good luck

Thyroid issues can run in family genes; male or female.

Speak to your about adding possible supervised supplements in addition to Omega 3 fish oil.

Diet is important! No processed food; fresh fruits, alot of vegetables; beans as a protein source. I cook and order curries vegetarian. Avoid fats and fried foods. Read labels when shopping.

Here is good article to help.

Eliminate animal products, eliminate oil, eliminate nuts and avocados, eliminate alcoholic drinks, eat green vegetables six times a day with balsamic vinegar and exercise at least 45 minutes daily (cardio), drink 3 liters of water, eliminate coffee (unless decaffeinated) and all sugars, eat steel cut oatmeal with fresh fruits (no sugar, honey or syrup), eliminate breads and pasta. Make sure you get 7-8 hours of sleep daily and take B12, CoQ10, and also eat citrus fruits and high antioxidant fruits like blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries. This is guaranteed to work. I dropped my LDL to 41.

Have you tried Benecol? (Plant stenols) or Red Yeast rice? I have read they lower cholesterol and I am starting to take them. Will report back. But as others say, good diet (low carb) and exercise! All the best!
