Hello,

What are your cholesterol lipids numbers?

Every medication have different side effect on human body.

Have you considered life style change before any medication ?

There are a lot of side effect from the new injection medication.

Your doctor is thew best person to answer your question !!!

Hello,

It is worth understanding no- HDL cholesterol.

The original formula, total cholesterol = HDL + LDL + x.

To day non HDL formula= total cholesterol - HDL.

Remnant cholesterol = total cholesterol - HDL _ LDL - x.

The question is how to control Remnant cholesterol?

Cholesterol lowering injection is not even one year old, data is not available to make and informed decision.

Life style change and regular exercise can help towards a healthy life before any medication. Doctors can do risk analysis, but what the the numbers say.! .

The medical report you quote says that the new injection is ‘perfect for the statin intolerant’ and that its side effect profile is similar to that of a placebo, ie if you expect a side effect from it, you’ll probably experience one! Nowhere does it says the new drug has ‘lots of side effects’.

From my experience medication do have side effect one or many.I have allergy for which I take antihistamine. My GP practice changed my medication due to cost.!!

What happened to me was the antihistamine that was to help me with allergic reactions gave me the same reaction, what to do, live with it.

If you look deeper into cholesterol lowering injection you may find allergic reactions as one side effect. As more and more data becomes available we may we issues just like COVID injections.

"What is inclisiran?

You may have seen reports in the news about inclisiran, a twice-yearly, cholesterol-lowering injection that will be made available on the NHS.

Inclisiran is a drug that can be used to lower ‘bad’ cholesterol (LDL) in the blood. It has been approved by drug watchdog NICE after trials showed treatment with inclisiran cuts levels of bad cholesterol by around 50 per cent.

NHS England says that, by lowering levels of bad cholesterol, inclisiran could prevent 55,000 heart attacks and strokes, with the potential to save 30,000 lives within the next in the next 10 years"
