I have just had a lovely meal taken from Ian Marbers and Dr Laura Corr cholesterol book. It was citrus salmon salad and i cannot wait to try some of the other recipes. (Although I am quite full!!!!)
My Gp sent me a diet sheet through the post without an explanation. It turns out my last test was 7.8!!! I have gone back on Atorvasatin 20 mg. I hope it I am going to be ok on it as it was stopped because I developed severe muscle pains. It was then found I was very low on vitamin D and they believe that is the problem for my aches and pains.
I weighed myself today and I have lost about 3lbs in 2 weeks. I hope I can keep this up
Well done with your weight loss jackimac. Just the title of the salmon recipe is making my mouth water.
Luckily, I love mackerel so eat it in different ways, several times a week: smoked and flaked into a tossed salad with olives and a drizzle of olive oil; mashed with lemon juice to make a pate; stuffed and baked in foil.
Hope you manage to get your vit D levels up - not much chance today, with the rain we are having here.
A good recipe site is mamtaskitchen.com there is a recipe search facility, you can just type in cabbage, and get a list of recipes. I found a simple cabbage and carrot curry recipe and it was delicious. All that is needed is for you to work out the calories.
Better than any takeaway and you know what is in the dish. The other thing that I like is there is an indication of the skill level required, it is surprising how many "student" vegetarian curries are delicious (and better than most takeaways).
