Monday round up

Hi all, It's Monday again! As well as wishing any newcomers to the community a very warm welcome, congratulations to Wales, now it has finished its stint in lockdown. Well done and please enjoy your restored freedoms safely.

It's the traditional grey November day here but some light in one area of the grey which suggests we might get a little sunshine later.

My thought for the week?

Well I've been reading through one of my inspirational books over the weekend. It's 'The Little Book of Inner Peace'. I don't always care for this sort of book as they are often twee and disingenuous, published for a quick profit, but this one actually contains some words of wisdom.

So if you are as fed up as I am with all the misery that the pandemic has brought, maybe you might like to try this.

ENJOY YOUR NON-TOOTHACHE

Anyone who's ever had one knows that eventually all you can think about is your toothache and you reach a point where you'd do anything not to have one. So why not remember to enjoy not having one, once in a while. And be glad for that.

You can compile your own 'non-list', but here are a few suggestions

I enjoy not having a toothache.

I enjoy not being homeless

I enjoy not being in hospital

I enjoy not having a headache

I enjoy not having a serious illness.....

.... and so on.

If you try this, let me know how you get on.

To those not in lockdown, enjoy the freedoms you have and if you are, stay strong. And to everyone, stay safe!

Hello Callendersgal, good to hear from you today. I too feel happy for Wales as they come out of lockdown. Stay safe and take care.

Our youngest son is 38 today which is nice. Makes me feel old though. He’s off to work soon.

I like the words of wisdom as they make me think which is no bad thing.

I enjoy having family nearby.

I enjoy having three grandchildren.

I enjoy my music

I enjoy being Pete’s wife and carer.

I’m thankful to be safe and well.

Wishing yourself and everyone a peaceful week. Stay safe. Xxxx👍😘💜💖

Oh Many Happy Returns to your son sassy59. It does make you feel quite old though, doesn't it, revealing to the world that your child is 38. Imagine when I have to admit that my elder (my son) is now 52, and his sister not far behind! But in another way it's lovely that I can now sit back a bit and they take care of me!

That's a lovely list of things to be grateful for. It does help sometimes just to count our blessings! Enjoy your week and I hope your son has a lovely birthday today. 👍😊🎁🎂xxx

I think it’s just a bit better to know you can go out if you want to. twinks . We don’t actually have to do it! 😊. I think there could be a negative effect from locking people down when they are itching to do Christmas shopping. It will lead to crowds. I intend to be very low key this year. Hopefully there will be other, merrier Christmases in years to come if we take care now! Good to hear from you😊👍
