Hi everyone,

A change in the weather seems to have heralded the start of this week. In a way I almost welcome a cloudy sky at the moment. The sunshine and all the beauty it's brought with it has been fabulous, but it is sometimes a torment not to be able to go out and enjoy it all fully.

We all start the week with a firm statement from government that our lockdown situation must go on a while yet, and frustrating as that is, it would be foolish indeed to lose the gains we've made in getting a grip on COVID19. And it would be so selfish when our wonderful NHS staff must surely need a little bit of a respite from the dangerous situation they have been placed in. I'm trying to focus on that aspect as we begin our next week in self-isolation and lockdown.

I hope it's been a relatively quiet and safe week for you all and that you are all still coping OK. How's everyone doing in terms of keeping in touch with loved ones? My daughter and I were laughing on her last call over the weekend, wondering how we managed to talk about coronavirus for more than an hour and a half. There are few other topics available to discuss, but somehow we can still jaw-on endlessly about aspects of the dread virus!

Wishing you all a good week upcoming. Please all continue to stay safe and well. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒบ

Hi Callendersgal, we most certainly must keep up with isolation and social distancing. We have no choice really. I enjoy contacting family each day and they pop by to wave.

Stay safe and well everyone.

My family lives abroad and so does David's so that aspect of lockdown is nothing new to us. We talk to the neighbours ovr the fence We went for a walk in the woods this morning.. I AM TOLD that the woods in Hertfordshire where I used to live are swarming with people driving out from London and behaving as if there is no such thing as social distancing but it is not like that here in Cornwall. We saw the bluebells and heard nothing but the birds. As we said it is nice to greet people as they come towards you but it is even nicer not to! I don't know how to add a photo this but Iwill send one of the banks covered with bluebells and red campion and wild garlic. Very patriotic. NEVER EVER let anyone give you a wild garlic bulb - aggressive isn't in it

That walk sounds divine Freda. What a pleasure for you both especially if you donโ€™t meet anyone else.

Wishing you both well. Stay safe. Xxx ๐ŸŒˆ

That sounds perfect FredaE and it's so sad that some areas are now increasingly being used by quarantine breakers. Pleased for you that thats not the case in Cornwall. Shall look forward to seeing that photo. Perfect colour combination! Oh, thanks for the warning about wild garlic bulbs. It sounds as if you are speaking from bitter experience of it! Best wishes to you both and keep on keeping well! Take care. ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒˆ

My mum only comes round if journeys are necessary such as dropping off shopping picking up rubbish & taking me for hospital appointmnts

The only real time she speaks to me is to find topic as an excuse to phone me at lunchtime to check up on me to see if Ive gone for a bike ride/walk if the weather is nice -just as she did today & at 9.15pm to find out if I enjoyed my tea

On a weekly basis I phone my best mate because lockdown is driving her stir crazy because unlike me she has no hobbies other than the football & going to the gym
