Virtual invitation to share our garden this morning

Yesterday was fine and the forecast today is good too We sat out here with our books and sunhats , sowed some more seeds and rejoiced that 5 broad beans have come up. Before you say yuck, unless you have eaten very young beans freshly picked you have never given them a chance. so we left the chairs out for today, if you like to imagine yourselves sitting in them please do so. you won't be in the sun until lunch time but you can listen to the bumble bees in the rosemary bush and if you are quiet watch the birds taking food back to their nests. Being a carer made me realise what hard work a nest ful of open beaks must be and at least we don't have to collect beaksful of wriggly things for those we look after.

The jam jar is for catching wasps - David is allergic but yesterdays bluebottles were chased off with the fly swat

have the happpiest Easter you can

Well thank you Freda, Pete and I are there just for a little while. I loathe wasps but love broad beans so we’ll appreciate your beautiful garden.

I left Easter gifts on the doorstep for our grandchildren and they were duly collected. We will get together with them tomorrow via FaceTime and video call. It will be strange but we appreciate the necessity of staying home.

Wishing you and David a very happy and peaceful Easter.

Stay safe. Xxxx 🐥🐣🐇

I'll see you all later for a fizzy drink which I'll bring with me

Look forward to it. We have enough glasses.

i was looking on line for the sound effects of bees buzzing in the flowers. There are a lot but they tend tobe a bit loud and aggressive and one had a car parping in the background. If anyone finds a nice gentle one with not much background noise except the birds maybe they could share it with us

See you there Jennymary. I think FredaE's garden is going to be a bit overcrowded somehow! 😊

Oh that looks so lovely FredaE. What a morale booster to see that lovely spot. You are blessed to have such a beautiful view. I will stop by and sit quietly at that table for a while!

Yes, spring's a tough season for the birds feeding their offspring. They are very demanding!

Your Easter so far sound idyllic to me! Such lovely weather and such a great opportunity to do some planting that will not only turn into new life but will also help to feed you later on too. Make the very most of it all. Happy Easter 🐣🐣

Plenty of room for everyone. With a virtual garden you don't have to worry about social distance. I am going to sow some carrots later - you can come and help me if you like... There are 6 broad beans now.
