Hi Trish79,

I see that you joined this community some time ago, but it looks as if this is your first post, so, if so, a warm welcome to our group.

We are mostly about those people who are caring for others, so that's often older people, but I'll try to help.

It might be more challenging to find companies who will be willing to insure you, given your recent heart attack, particularly at an affordable premium, but there are those who will do it.

I can't make a particular suggestion, not having had to look for this sort of insurer, but I think the best way forward for you might be to use an online comparison site such as Compare the Market which facilitates simpler searches for those people with pre-existing conditions.

Best wishes and I hope you can find what you are looking for.

Hi Trish

The British Heart Foindation produce a list of Insurers who accept clients with various health conditions. I was able to insure after having a stent fitted some eight years ago.

Hope this helps

Good morning Trish and a warm welcome to this caring community. We are so sorry for your health problems and concerns over life insurance. As you haven't fully told us about what happened after the heart attack and subsequent treatments I have taken the liberty of including the British Heart Foundation website address and some general information that may be of use to you.

Callendersgal has the right idea with search engines but I would like to take it one step further for you. If you enter the bhf site and use their search engine on their site you can join the hearthelpline and search for 'life insurance after a heart attack. The community there will not recommend a particular company but will give you insights as to each company and their pro's and cons.

Good luck for the future and do keep in touch.

instead of looking at life insurance, why don't you seriously start looking into your own health priorities your life style before your heart attack, identify the risks you have taken, such as stress at work place, diabetes, overweight and unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle and start reversing the trend to the extent possible. I have done it.why not you and take the responsibility yourself instead of the 3rd party insurers

If you can’t answer a simple question then why bother!!!

I bother because the problem remains unanswered,no matter which insurance company is going to help you.
