Yes that's a great new year quote. It's realistic. Not too sickly, but not pessimistic either.
I've had a cheerful week. I love the Christmas season, in parts! But when it's over, it's really over, and I want it out of my life quickly and to get back to normal.
On New Year's Day I spent time getting rid of decorations and did a bit of a clean-up. Then the next I sent thank you cards to friends and family for Christmas gifts, lit lots of candles and opened a new spring scented reed diffuser. Finally this morning I bought a bunch of hopeful spring daffs, and now they are dancing around in a vase in their cheery yellow skirts I'm ready to tackle 2019!
