If you are in receipt of PIP and have substantial caring needs, you might also be eligible for Carer's Allowance in addition, if you are under 65. More information available at the Govuk website.
Hi Lizbeth51, welcome to this community. You'll find folks on here are very supportive and as you have seen already, have some sound advice. Follow the links on the pinned posts section on the right of your screen. Also, here's the link to the Government website about AA. As has been mentioned already, you will need to be over 65, but it will be worth your while speaking a Citizen's Advice Bureau advisor who have the expertise to help you. Hope this help.
