I live in the Scottish Borders, my husband recently had his Booster (Spring One ) on Wednesday he is over 75. I got the winter one the same time as him.
I didn’t get any notification to have one this time. So I called the number on his letter to ask if there had been an oversight as I have cirrhosis and insulin dependent diabetes. They told me there was a shortage of vaccines and I didn’t fit the criteria to have it. I checked my husbands letter and my conditions were not listed. I was told I will receive a Booster when the Winter ones are administered.
When my husband had his the nurses asked where I was and he told them what had happened. The two nurses to me to call again as they felt I met the criteria to have a Booster.
Are there any Scottish based people on here who have recently had the Booster?
With thanks, I noticed someone posted a green paper with my conditions listed where was this paper from and I wonder if there is an equivalent document published for Scottish people?
With thanks for reading Mary 😊

This is opinion and not backed up by science. I realise a lot of people feel let down by the medical establishment and feel they need to advocate for themselves, but there are a lot of charlatans and internet ' doctors' who are knowingly spreading disinformation and causing harm. It is fine to have an opinion but please be aware that's all it is, and you could do others harm by influencing them to not do something that may work for them. Each person needs to decide for themselves.
This is where you can find the full list of eligibility criteria nhs.uk/get-vaccine - it’s the same across the UK according to the UKHSA.
I wish my husband could get the spring booster, it seems silly that someone who wants it can’t have it when there are so many people who are vocally against it.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply I checked both the Diabetes Uk and the British Liver sites. Everyone has their own individual opinions re the Covid Covid Booster injections which I’m very respectful of. The latest guidance is I don’t fit the criteria for this one. I’ve been very fortunate to date to have never tested nor had covid so count my blessings, but I have chosen to take every jab offered. Best Regards Mary
