Hi I’ve just had a repeat ELF blood test ..3yrs since I had my first one
3yrs ago it was 10.00 this time it’s 9.8 so a slight improvement I think
question is when Siemens say 9.8 is a high reading and NHS say refer to hepatology when 10.5 or higher is this something I need to be concerned about? What does it mean? No one has really explained it to me.

"NHS say refer to hepatology when 10.5 or higher is this something I need to be concerned about" I think is based on the the prevalent of the disease (NALDF I suppose) amongst British population and the sensitivity and specificity of ELF test. In other words 10.5 or higher is very likely to be F3/F4 fibrosis.
