Some of you may remember me posting a few times about my partner Nick who has cirrhosis. He had an MRI scan a couple of weeks ago because they had seen lesion on his left lobe on an ultrasound scan. This lesion it turns out is cancer. Stage 1 so very early but still a shock and scary. They are looking into offering him a liver resection to cut away the cancer or ablation. The liver resection will have to be agreed by the surgeon so we have to wait now to see if he agrees to the surgery. Otherwise it will just be ablation, which I think Nick is going to go for anyway. He has now had more bloods and awaiting endoscopy to check for varices and a CT scan to check for any cancer in the lungs as he had a dry cough for 4 weeks now. His liver is coping well, we are told so I suppose that is one positive.

Sorry to hear this about your partner and I hope that everything turns out for the best. I am waiting for my scan appointment which is due early next month and I hate waiting for results. I'm sure he'll be fine with it being diagnosed early and good luck with the other tests and the future.
Sorry to hear of the diagnosis but hopefully they will treat him quickly. Can I ask you, what were your partners symptoms and does he have cirrhosis? Thanks
