I did another 1hour+ run at the weekend, but with a Thai massage on Tuesday, a London show yesterday and a more local one tonight, I had much to save energy for, so hadn't planned to run again this week - especially as the massage, though it clearly worked, also freed up a lot of pain which left me near crippled the day after: as though I'd done a way-too-intense workout, which in a way I had!
However, I am less sore now and took advantage of a good sleep and an early waking to go for a short 25 minute recovery run this morning. It was enough to get my muscles working and hopefully hasn't completely drained the tank for tonight's script check.
I did confuse a muntjac which ran to and fro in front of me, probably baffled by my choice of pink shirt and shorts at just after 6 in the morning!
Taking a photo on the run whilst in desperate need of a loo break is nothing like as easy as it sounds ...

Sounds like you were a bright early morning picture yourself!
This morning a very similar deer stopped and watched me and my friend walking towards it, for a surprisingly long time, before it turned and disappeared into the woods.. presumably when it saw our dogs, neither of which had spotted it at all! Your photo is much better than mine as I didn’t take one..
Hope you weren’t too tired tonight and the script check went well.
