I've been really tired since being ill after Christmas or you could call it lazy! I only managed a couple of runs in January, and am starting to wonder if I will ever get my fitness back. And then I watched The human race, a documentary yesterday and found all my enthusiasm again Woke early, only to find a duvet full of gremlins.
Oh I ache, this aches and that aches.. maybe I shouldn't bother " but your legs don't ache!" Whispered little miss positivity.
Willow after being lectured the other day about being encouraging said come on.
So we went. To the river. Tides in And rowers are out.
Willow walked and off I ran, 20 minutes of sheer joy ( that's little miss positivity again.) The rest of me had brought a few gremlins along, this is hard, it's busy here, might as well turn round and go back, but.... A few grins from runners going the other way and chasing one who passed me until I realised I can't keep her speed up so slowed down made me realise I'd got rid of the pesky little things, caught up with Willow and walked together back across the bridge and home
That was wonderful

I too am surrounded by gremlins. I can't seem to shake them off. I'm going to lay out my running gear for tomorrow and go and investigate my new neighbourhood. 😬
we’ll done for beating the gremlins. I can recommend the NRC guided runs to keep them at bay because Coach Bennett will fill your head with positivity.
I couldn't see the screen in the sun so even though I'd set up a guided run I seem to have just hit start so just got the kilometre times but Que n kept me moving
Thank you Floss, we both love it by the river, I was torn as to which view from the bridge to post, that one faces south, I mostly run north then turn around so here's a photo of north, the bridge to under the bridge you see is half a kilometre x
So lovely to read how much you enjoyed that Sola. And well done on dispatching those gremlins. Persistent little blighters when they want to be aren't they?
Well done Sola for getting back out there. It surprising how much better you feel once you get out side running ,even walking . Those pesky gremlins just disappear….!😂😂✅👍👏
Glad you beat the Gremlins. Do you still chase your Zombies -I thought you were a Zombie hunter or was that someone else on here? Might the idea of chasing Zombies push the Gremlins to one side? Noone has mentioned Zombie runs for ages. Are they still out there?
Hey, I was looking at Zombies run just yesterday, I don't want to push speed yet but was thinking of starting again, once May comes I intend to get out every day so some Zombie running could happen
That might just be a watershed run, bringing back confidence which may have taken a bit of a beating. I would end up ticking off the number of working days left; every tick a day closer to freedom.🙂
With sunshine and a view like that the gremlins don't stand a chance! I'm still without my running gear but managed to walk 10km yesterday, not quite the same thing though.
