I hate to think of bairns getting whiplash injuries.

Running with strollers
Interesting I-J. It doesn’t apply to me but we do have lots of pushchairs at our parkrun which is flat and straight, apart from the halfway turn cone. Some of the tots love it, and some sleep through it, but I have seen some crying and want to ask the parent to just walk and forget their parkrun time.
Posted the same on the Marathon forum...
I honestly can't imagine that the kid in the stroller won't get any painful movements. I just saw a short piece on tv a couple of days ago about this guy who has run 22 days each day 50 kilometer with his stepson who has a disease much like ALS. The (big) kid is in a special wheelchair that the guy pushes while running. And the kid said that it was difficult for him too, as he gets a shock every time in his back which hurts his whole body.
And ok, you're not going to push a stroller for 22 days for 50K every day. But if the kid felt pain, I can imagine that a child in a stroller will feel something too...
Without knowing a bit more I hate to be judgmental but this time I will. If it's hurting his sick child why on earth is he doing it??????
Well kid is a big word. He is 16 or 18 or so and they both wanted to do it to raise money for the disease. They now do it still just to bond. The kid probably won't get old so they want to share as much time as possible.
Ok, judgment withdrawn. I thought he was much younger but if he's old enough to decide for himself, good for him.
