Referral to clinical genetics

Hello all,

I hope it's ok to post here.

I had a 2 week referral to the breast cancer clinic due to symptoms. Thankfully I was given the all clear but was asked to fill in a family history to determine risk.

It was found I was high risk of possibly developing breast cancer in the future and have been referred to clinical genetics.

Can anyone tell me what that involves? I've been struggling to find any information.

Thank you. 🙏🏼

Hi Witchinghour. I don’t think we on this forum are expert enough to answer, but if you live in the UK there are several breast cancer charities who might be able to guide you. Start with Macmillan maybe?

Thanks for replying. I was just hoping to hear from others who might have been through the process!
