Hair, will it regrow or won't it

For me, it has been 15 months since last taxol round. I'm up to round 29 in a few days for Herceptin and Perjeta. My hair has come back in, but very thin, (use to be very thick and curly/wavy) and as if there are fewer follicles in play. Is this my lot now, or will it get better over time? I know everyone is different.

I can't answer your question but just wanted to say what a huge hurdle hairloss / change is. It can be big issue for so many, so ignore those who say it's a small price to pay. It may well be but it's still very tough. Be well

I was the opposite, I had very fine straight fair hair and it grew back dark and wavy. Advised by my friend who is a hairdresser, I took high dose biotin every day and I think it helped with my hair thickness. As you note, everyone is different but it worked for me so I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Go for the highest dose tablets you can find and give it 3 months to start seeing a difference... Good luck xxx

Hi, try waternans grow me shampoo, I don't know if it will help you but I have thinner hair than I did before it grew back but when I use this shampoo it looks fuller. You might have to try different styles with more layers in but don't worry about it, you have won the battle. Stay well, Vicky. X

Mine came back wavy instead of straight but definitely thinner and more gray. My "man whiskers" however, came back with a vengeance. Can't win. I'm 4 years post chemo now so I think I'm out of luck.

Yes, that's the other thing. The hair on my legs grows like they're radioactive. I'm sure it's like a half inch a month if I let them go.

Yep. Tarantula legs lol. I don't care. If I have an appointment or special occasion they get shaved. Other then that, I do it when it's on my nerves rubbing against my pants.

It seemed to take forever for my hair to come back and its much thinner now 3 years post chem. I am not sure there is much that helps sadly. I do treat it gently tho, no more colours for me. xx

Did you try colour post chem? When you say gentle, do you have a favourite product?

Mine eventually returned to normal but never regrew all my body hair.

Did it come back all at once, or over time?

it came back within six months but was a chemo texture...Curley and course. it took probably a year to return to my usual texture and straightness.
