After a disappointing last 3 week Flec session in which I had only 3 good days ; the rest involved 2 hospital admissions , lots of iv antibiotics and a collection of less serious side effects , I’m hoping so much the next one will not lead to another chest infection etc. I’m told it’s bad luck so fingers crossed that it goes less dramatically ! During this next 3 week period my daughters baby is due so of course I’ll be keen to visit and see the latest grand daughter .. so extra important to try to stay well . Thinking of all you girls who are on chemo over Xmas . Anyone down in Dorset ? I’d love to keep in touch .

Love to all Denise xx

Hi Denizt, sorry to hear that you have had such a tough time. I hope you do manage to steer clear of horrible infections for the rest of your chemo. Some side effects are inevitable but you surely do not want serious complications requiring admissions.

It will be lovely to have a new grandchild to look forward to - the best christmas present and something to lift your spirits during the horrible treatments. Best wishes for the next sessions and for your special christmas gift. Hugs Caroline

Dear Caroline . Thank you for your lovely encouraging message ! How are you ?

Here I’ve had the second reduced dose of Flec and on day 5, going better this time ; feeling positive and so far no dramatic dashes to Poole AnE!!

The Onco Prof gave me a week off in which I did lots of Xmas things and new baby odds and ends for my daughter so it’s been great to feel ok and have enough energy to get out and about ! Also have had printed at long last a little book of

Animal antics poems I wrote for my grandchildren , now ready to post to them . It’s been fun getting it together.

Have a nice today Caroline ! With love Denise

Hi Denizt

I am doing really well thank - you. More importantly I am glad that you have had a bit of respite and are feeling a bit better now. Long may it continue. Have a lovely special time with your family over the coming weeks and I hope all goes wonderfully well with the new addition. xxx Caroline

Good morning Denise. I’ve just read your post and what a terrible time you’ve had😩. I’m so sorry that you’ve had such a rough ride, but you’re on the home run now and thankfully the team looking after you will be watching you like a hawk to nip anything untoward in the bud. Thank goodness we have our Angels to keep us safe, what would we do without them!

I think it’s lovely you have a new baby coming into the world to meet, how exciting. Grandchildren make all the difference don’t they, and allow us to switch off for a while to just focus on them to marvel as they grow, knowing how blessed we are to be a part of their world. They are little miracles sent to bring pure love that captures it in our hearts forever..

I wish you all the best Denise on your last leg of Chemo and really hope it goes well without complications and that you have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Sending you warmest wishes and hugs, Sarah XX

Oh Denise, you’ve certainly been through the mill, you poor darling.

I was completely OCD about hand washing, hand wipes & avoiding anyone who was ill & absolutely no hugging or kissing anyone except my darling husband who applied the same rules to himself & it worked.

I had a couple of rounds that were exceptionally tough on my body but three years later l’m glad to say l made it this far!

Much excitement ahead for you with the imminent arrival of your new grand baby, just in time for Christmas.

Keep Well & Good Luck 🍀 with the next round.

Best Wishes

MrsN 🌺
