Well who would have thought a cold could get you hospitalised...started with a cold on Thurs night and temp up through the night and hit 37.8 by morning, so here I am in hospital, all my blood levels were low and my neutrafill (probably not spelt that right lol) were 0.2, so I'm stuck here...just hoping that I can leave tomorrow as we have a family trip planned to legoland on sunday, which was arranged by a local chardly Willow.!

Hope your all doing well in your treatments

Xxxxx

Oh Lordy.... Been there on three different occasions Sandy. On My second stint I was in three days short of a month. When you are sort of midway between chemo sessions you are at your most vulnerable when it comes to picking up anything at all. Your whole immune system is shot to bits. If you do get to legoland I strongly recommend you wear a mask. I hated doing this as people do stare however as one of my nurses said, better to be stared at and staying alive than catching a bug that can potentially be life threatening due to our weakened immune system. I try to avoid busy places when I'm at the point where getting neutropenia is fairly high, but just having a family member sneeze can cause you issues. Get better soon. I hope your neutrophils increase soon and you get on your trip, remember to play safe and wear a mask xx

I'm already feeling better in myself, but as you know it all depends on my neutrophils.!

I will of course take all precautions when I go to legoland, we have picked days which should relatively quiet.!

How is your treatment going.?

Xx

Excellent :) treatment is ok. I have had one CMF and the skin is peeling off my feet terribly. I have also noticed an increased numbness in jmhands and feet. I start radiotherapy a week next Tuesday - same day as my next chemo. It is going to be quite the endurance test to say the least 🙄 Lol xx

Hopefully this is the last hurdle for you xx

A high temperature kept me hospitalised on Christmas Day🙄 I was allowed home for a few hours, after promising to return in time for prescribed treatment.

To be honest, the effort involved in joining family, even though they were enormously considerate, wore me out. I was glad to get back into the hospital bed 😏 xB

Thank you, am feeling much better, unfortunately the Dr's have said it's unlikely I'll be out in time for trip, but Willow have said they rearrange it for us so we don't miss out completely.!

Same thing happens to me. Ended up being kept in for 3 ways even though felt fine. Hope you made your trip.
