In search of REMS

Hello, I'm new here. Dexa says I have Osteoporosis at 54. I am going the natural route absolutely no bone meds. I would love to have a REMS test I am in Massachusetts.

In a post about REMS last year, someone shared the following: For more information on where REMS scans are available in the US contact Vicki Baldwin vbaldwin@echolightmedical.com. Hopefully that will get you the info you're after.

Do you know your results? The lowest score is probably the state of your bones. Have you checked the cause and see if you can address that too? If you are small then your bones are also small but they may be strong. Have you ever broken any bones? If not, then your bones are likely strong. If you are fit and able then you can certainly improve your bones naturally. Good on you for going the natural route. All the best!

Get hyperparathyroidism ruled out. You need a blood test to check the calcium in your blood. Hyperparathyroidism is a known cause of osteoporosis. You also need vitamin d and parathyroid hormone testing from the same blood draw. As for REMS.....think Osteocare do it in the UK x

There's another company doing them now in Amersham, though it looks like just the scan and report, no consultation: profortis.co.uk/bone-health
