Through our network of support groups, and regular information and support events, you can connect with people in your area going through the same thing as you.
All our support groups are run by volunteers, some who are living with osteoporosis, and others closely touched by the condition. They organise a programme of informal meetings, talks and social events, for you and your loved ones.
Support groups and our programme of information and support events are supported by our volunteer engagement team. You can find your local Royal Osteoporosis Society contacts on the get in touch page.
I look forward to meeting up with friends, old and new, who all share a common problem - osteoporosis. We help one another with the aid of the Royal Osteoporosis Society.
Local support groups
During the pandemic, all face-to-face meetings and activities led by our volunteers have been suspended, but many support groups and teams are running regular online meetings. Many groups have full programmes in place for 2022 with the option of delivering their events either face-to-face or online, depending on the situation and guidance when the time comes.
With these online meetings, you can join from anywhere. If there is an event that looks interesting and is outside your area you will be welcome to join us. Just get in touch with the local group via their contact details on their page or if you can't find a group that you're looking for, please contact the Volunteer Engagement Team who will be delighted to help: volunteerengagement@theros.org.uk
