Hello Loobilou, I take magnesium glycinate at present after researching into it.

Hello loobilou,

The Magnesium (Magnesium Citrate 2:1) that I am taking is combined with Calcium Citrate , K2 and Collagen -a liquid formula which is claimed to be far better absorbed than capsules - produced by "Natures Way." This liquid formula comes in various natural flavours of fruit and vegetable blend. However, despite its extremely pleasant flavour, there is the possibility of it causing mild intestinal disturbance, which of course can apply to many other products. Your very question I am investigating also, since it is my wish to come off calcium and go the natural route (with Magnesium supplement) as my change in diet progresses. I am open to suggestions and the expertise of a natural health doctor whom I will be seeing shortly, but who really knows for sure? I will get back to you.

I take Mg glycinate because it’s easy to absorb and doesn’t upset my guts.

Hi. Other than natural food, Magnesium is best absorbed through the skin, not by mouth. You can buy magnesium oil and spray it on. I make my own. Simply dissolve pure magnesium flakes in water, cool, put in spray bottle and use on arms, legs everywhere. Leaves skin feeling a bit like sea water when dried, so use it when it suits you if you want to shower it off. I live alone so before bed suits me. Also epsom salts is great in your bath. Get my supplies from Amazon. Dido xx
