Some days are hard

Some days are hard. I cried myself to sleep last night, and it wasn't pretty. I still miss my sister Adrienne.

Grief is a strange beast. You never know when it's going to rear its ugly head. Earlier yesterday, I experienced a hysterical laughing fit with Blue Faery's amazing team (navigating Zoom Webinars has been interesting). Yet, later that evening, I felt the hole in my heart that no amount of work will fill.

Here's the thing: it's okay to be sad. It's okay to cry. You have to feel to heal.

But I wish it were easier at times.

💙Andrea

Sending you hugs and lots of love. Any loss is hard but I think there's some losses that we never really get over. We just learn to somehow muddle through most days. Then comes one of those days that the pain and the loss are just too big. 💔 The deeper the love , the bigger the pain of the loss. Losing a child is one of the hardest things we can ever go through and though Adrienne was technically your sister, you lost a child because y'all were so much more than sisters. Love you my friend. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Sharon. 🙏

My prayers are with you and those who lost the battle with cancer. I do not have cancer, like most of us, we have been impacted by family members and/or dear friends with cancer. Although I do not know you or Adrienne, I believe Adrienne is extremely proud of you, for the love and support you gave her and for the foundation you created in her honor. I'm reading your book, better off bald, so far it is an amazing book. Continue to inspire others. Hang in there.

Grief is so like the ocean…. some days are perfectly calm and others the undercurrent just sucks you in. I pray you can take comfort on the hard days knowing you have helped so many HCC patients and families have and provided a voice that otherwise would not be heard and I have no doubt how proud Adrienne is of you. I have been amazed at the research and progress being made with treatment options just in the few years since my husband was first diagnosed in 2019. The picture of your team at the HCC conference warmed my heart. I know Sarah‘s story was impactful for all the medical community in attendance. It is because of your commitment to education and advocacy and conferences like that one that HCC strides will be made. Thankyou!!!! ♥️♥️♥️Bonnie
