Good morning everyone,

I'm happy to report that my trip to ASCO GI in San Francisco was successful. Not only did I receive verbal assurances for more funding for Blue Faery's programs, but I also learned about exciting therapies for HCC. Experts are looking at "combinations" such as immuno- or targeted therapies with procedures like Y90, SIRT, TACE, etc. I feel the doctors are thinking more creatively and understanding that HCC differs for every patient.

Unfortunately, I'm so busy that I forgot to take photos. Here's the only one I took from a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program. Blue Faery partnered with Peerview to produce the program. The room was so full that they had to bring in another 20 chairs to accommodate the attendance. I've never seen so many doctors in a CME program, and they were highly engaged and eager to learn more about HCC.

The more educated physicians become about HCC, the more likely they are to recommend treatment options that best suit you and your loved ones. No one treatment is right for every patient. If you're newly diagnosed, ask questions and always get a second opinion!

💙Andrea

This is such wonderful news. I'm always thrilled to here about progress on treatments. It's also so great to hear that so many physicians were in attendance and eager to learn about HCC. It is such a difficult disease to treat so it's imperative that the medical community has as much information as possible. Looking forward to the day that we have a cure for this awful disease. ❤️❤️❤️
