🎯 Our mission is to elevate the patient voice to key decision-makers in the healthcare industry. That’s why we created the Research Opportunities community: healthunlocked.com/research

This reply-only community is a one-stop destination for all things related to research. Whether you’re looking to take part, or simply just want to learn more about the scientific process, we have something for everyone.

Patient experience research is any research activity that seeks to understand the experiences, attitudes and opinions of patients as it relates to their health and interactions with the healthcare system.

Patient experience research is considered “non-interventional”: meaning that no treatment is given and no medical tests are administered. Researchers simply want to hear from patients and caregivers about their true lived experiences and understand their needs.

By joining the Research Opportunities community, you can join us in our mission. We will use this community to connect to patients and provide you with opportunities to participate in patient experience research through various individual or group discussions, polls, and surveys.

I clicked to join in the hope that the "healthcare system" with which we interact (in the video shown) is more flexible than the current one - which is basically the pharmaceutical industry and it's associated medics. If my hope is misguided, please advise how I cancel.

When I was diagnosed with GCA in June 2019 (already a patient in hospital) by a wonderful rheumatologist who came to my bedside and said ‘I want to hear YOUR story’ and he had the patience to listen to ME! This is what I hope would be of benefit to all of us. (He diagnosed correctly the same day, by the way.)

My cancer diagnosis experience was just horrific. Kaiser Permanente Urologists who were too busy to care, practicing medicine via phone and email.

My Radiation Oncologist at UC San Diego is the absolute best. My first appointment, after introducing himself to me, sat down, moved the computer out of the way and very quietly said “What do you know about your cancer?” We talked for almost an hour which is exactly what I needed. Night and day difference dealing with an accredited Comprehensive Cancer Center rather than the factory of Kaiser Permanente.

Hey, did you know that CVS Pharmacy, one of the largest pharmacies in the US, is looking to improve their services? They're taking customer feedback very seriously and even offering a chance to win a cool $1000 cash prize! How awesome is that? All you have to do is participate in their customer feedback survey. Just hop onto their website at cvshealthsurvey.care/survey to get started. It's a great opportunity to have your voice heard and possibly win some extra cash. So why not give it a shot? Good luck!
