Back pain post surgery?

my first post here, my partner is 3 weeks from triple by pass, 4 days out of hospital (he had complications) and he describes a painful 'knot' inbetween his shoulder blades - should I contact the doctor?

If it was there when he was in hospital I wouldn’t worry, I had pain in the left side of my neck for 4 months after my quad if you could see the position they put you in for all those hours in surgery. If the pain is new since coming home ring 999 GP will only tell you to call 999 anyway and don’t worry I was a paramedic are the crew won’t mind doing an ecg and checking him out we understand it messes with your head😵‍💫

I had back pain for several months after OHS but was told it was to be expected.Joanne

Hi Partnercarer, I had a lumbar decompression and discectomy many years ago and have suffered with backache now and again over the years, however, since having OHS at the end of November 2022 my back problems have completely disappeared. Strange but true. Wishing you and your partner all the best.

My surgery was June last year I started Pilates in October and that seems to have helped a lot of aches and pains I had post OHS
