Hello, I’ve had gout for years and been on bisoprolol for many too. Personally I haven’t thought there’s a connection , I’m now well controlled with Allopurinol - when I get attacks I drink or eat cherries or juice. I’ve also got cherry capsules which help (or seem to). I have found that a precursor is dehydration together with exercise & heat ie walking in heat, obviously check with your doctor is concerned as I’m not medical - hope you get it sorted

my husband developed gout, his main triggers were oily fish, which he loves and beer, which he also loved - so after some experimenting he gave up beer and has been free of gout since then ! i really enjoyed the phase when he insisted on eating lots of cherries though, particularly the sour ones we got continental food shops!🍒

I get gout every couple o f years. Come to think of it, I had two flares post heart op and yes I was on bisoprolol short term.

Hadn’t made the connection so thanks for your post.
