Odd things that you learn...

So I had my pre-op checks a couple of weeks back, today was due to sign consent forms, chat with pharmacy etc but it got postponed.

Pharmacy then phones a bit later to discuss when to stop my cocktail, so we have a mix of 1, 2 & 3 days before except for 1 one, my over the counter Omega 3 fish oil. I stopped that today 12 days before my op, I have no idea why but it struck me as very strange.

very similar to my husband. He had an op yesterday (not cardiac related) and had to stop all supplements which include omega oil and vitamin D one week before. And yes, a mix of dates for everything else.

Fish oil can thin your blood and cause excessive bleeding.
