I am suffering with anxiety due to on going angina attacks in still working but am having to take more time off due to these setbacks but am now being pulled in to explain every time and it is now effecting my mental health.

Maybe a review / assessment with occupational health may help establish how your health is impacting and maybe lead to reasonable adjustments being made to help you stay in work. It’s important to cover impact on mental health too.

Good luck👍

I agree with Fanfab1's suggestion but also feel that you need better care for your unstable angina - has this been fully investigated to clarify the cause? if not this needs to be done as you clearly are not getting adequate treament if you are having to take so much time off - or is your job situation part of the reason for ongoing symptoms? in which case if you can't get your situation adjusted to meet your health needs you may have to consider alternative work or reduced hours, although i realise thse may not be realistic options

either way an occupational health appointment would be a good way forward if your employer can offer this - they should if you are having repeated periods of time off for health reasons - otherwise constant interviews about your absence by a manager without an offer of support could constitute harassment/bullying and this can have serious consequences - that would be something you would want to avoid

also if you have a union or professional organisation you may want to consult them about this situation and ask for adviceon what your options might be
